What lumioo is
lumioo is your own library for photos and videos. You upload what matters to you and find it again: by time, by place, by people, by what is in the picture. There is no feed, no advertising and nothing you did not set up yourself. Your photos live on servers in Europe, and they leave your library only when you share them through a link.
lumioo is for people who want to keep their photos without handing them to a corporation, and who like sharing trips and memories with friends and family without those people needing an account.
Photos and videos
Wherever lumioo says "photos", videos are included. You can upload JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC/HEIF, and MP4, MOV and WebM for videos. For every video we make a compressed version for watching in the browser. Whether we keep the original as well depends on your plan.
Your library
Everything starts in the library: one long list by date, with month sections, search and selection for many photos at once. Photos whose date we don't know for sure are gathered in one place until you set it. The photo page shows one picture large, with everything we know about it: date, place, tags, people, note and camera data, all editable right there. Deleted photos go to the trash and can be restored for 30 days.
Albums and trips
An album is a hand-picked set: a birthday, a weekend, the best of a year. A trip is a travel diary made of chapters with a date, a place, text and the photos that belong to it, with a map that shows the route if you like. Albums collect, trips tell. A photo can be in as many albums and chapters as you like, without being moved or copied.
Sharing
Everything is private until you create a link. Through a link you share an album, a trip or a single photo. Visitors need no account, can react and, if you allow it, comment. Links can be password protected, offered with or without downloads, and revoked at any time. Anyone subscribed to a trip gets an email as soon as a new chapter appears.
People, tags and map
If you turn it on, lumioo finds faces in your photos and groups them into people, and it adds tags for what is in a picture: beach, dog, sunset. Both can be wrong, both can be corrected, and both stay on our servers. The map shows every photo with a place and the routes of your trips.
Assistants and your data
You can connect assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT to your library to search it or have them create albums and trips. You grant the access yourself and can take it back at any time. Your photos are yours: you can export the whole library at any time and delete your account with everything in it.

lumioo is free with 10 GB of storage and every feature above. Plus and Studio add more storage, longer videos, video originals, unlimited trips and links, password protection and downloads for links, and assistants that may make changes too. The numbers are under Plans and payment.
