Principle
Everything in lumioo is private until you create a link. Every link is created by you and can be revoked at any time. Visitors see only what the link allows, and they don't need an account.
What you can share
An album, a trip, or a single photo or video. Through the link, trips show only published chapters.
Create a link
You find "Share" in the menu of an album, a trip, or on the photo page. Turn sharing on and you get the link to copy. Turn it off and the link stops working immediately.
Options
Show metadata. Date, place, notes and photo details are visible. Without this option, visitors see only the photos.
Allow comments. Visitors can leave comments.
Allow downloads. Visitors can download single photos and videos. Part of Plus and Studio.
Password protection. The link opens only after a password is entered. Part of Plus and Studio.
Allow subscribing. Trips only: people with a lumioo account can subscribe to the trip.
What visitors see
Only what the link allows: no deleted photos, no chapters in draft, never the street of a place, never original files without the download option. If you add something to the album or trip later, it also appears in the link.
Reactions and comments
Visitors can react and, if you allow it, comment. A name is enough, no account needed. You see comments on the album, chapter or photo page and can reply. You get new comments collected by email and as a notification.
Subscribing
Anyone subscribed to a trip gets an email as soon as you publish a chapter. The email leads to the chapter through your link. Unsubscribing takes one click in every email.
The "Shared" page
Under Shared in the account menu you see all your links in one place: type, status (active, expired, revoked), views, comments and subscribers. From here you open, manage or revoke any link.
Statistics
For every album and trip we count views per day, anonymously. Your own visits don't count. The number covers all links of the album or trip, including earlier ones.
Reports and blocking
Visitors can report a link. We review every report by hand, nothing happens automatically. If a photo breaks our rules, we take it out of shared links. It stays in your library, your albums and your trips. You get an email about it that you can reply to.
Limits
On the Free plan you can have 5 links active at the same time, on Plus and Studio as many as you like.
