AI assistants

Connect Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants to your library, and disconnect them again.

What this is

Assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT or Le Chat can search your library and, depending on your plan, change things in it too. You decide which app gets access, you can see at any time which ones are connected, and you can end access with one click. The connection uses an open standard called MCP.

Connect with sign-in

Apps such as claude.ai, ChatGPT or Le Chat support signing in to lumioo. Add lumioo there with the "Server URL" from the settings. The first time the app accesses your library, a lumioo page opens and shows what the app is allowed to do. The app only gets access once you agree there.

Connect with a key

For apps without sign-in, you create an API key in the settings. We show it exactly once, so copy it straight away. The app sends it with every request, and the name of the header is shown next to it. You can create a key as "Read-only" and revoke any key at any time.

What assistants can do

Reading works on every plan: searching and viewing photos, listing albums, trips, chapters, tags, people and comments, and fetching thumbnails.

Changing things is part of Plus and Studio: creating and filling albums and trips, publishing chapters, and setting tags, date, place, favourite, title and note. Assistants cannot upload or delete.

What they never get

No original files, no storage paths, no account data. We pass comments from visitors on as foreign text, not as instructions, so nobody can steer your assistant through a comment.

Connected apps

In the settings you see every connected app with the time it was last used. "Disconnect" signs the app out immediately. You can connect it again later from within the app.

Examples

"Show me photos of the beach from summer 2025." "Create an album with the best photos from Lisbon." "Which chapters of my Japan trip are still drafts?" "Set the place on these three photos to Cologne Cathedral."
