How people work
lumioo finds faces in your photos and groups those that look alike. When you give a group a name, it becomes a person. We can get this wrong, and you can correct any assignment.
Face data is your private data. It stays on our servers, is never shared or sold, and is used for nothing other than grouping your own photos.
Turn it on
Face recognition is off at the start. You turn it on in Settings. It applies to photos you upload from then on.
Name faces
Faces we don't know yet are under "unnamed faces". There you give them a new name or assign them to a person you already have. Or you open a photo and click a face directly. If we find similar faces in other photos, we ask whether we should name them right away too.
Browse by people
Choose a person and you see their photos. Choose several and you see only the photos where all of them are together.
Tidy up
In a person's menu you can rename them, change or reset the card photo, merge two people or delete the person. Deleting only forgets the grouping. The photos stay.
Fix mistakes
If a face is assigned to the wrong person, open the photo, use "Show faces" and click the frame. There you attach it to the right person or remove the assignment.
